Gratitude

Before I get too involved in the day, I had to sit down and write some of the things I am most thankful for. Too often we tend to look at the things we don't have rather than count our bounteous blessings. Some of the things I am grateful for are:

  • Family-- I'm grateful for three children, a son-in-law, and three little grandsons who, although they live far away, are alway close to my heart. I'm also grateful for extended family who live close by
  • Today I am grateful for pleasant Memories of happy times
  • It brings me peace to have a comfortable Home and Food on the table
  • My Friends have blessed my life more than they know
  • In these troubled times, it is comforting to know that I have a job that allows me to support myself
  • The knowledge that Jesus Christ is my Savior and for the peace that gives to me

It's not what we have, but what we're grateful for that makes us happy*.

*Thanks Rebecca for that reminder

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you.
