- I have a new favorite snack for when friends are over. S'MORES. I have done this twice...a s'more bar. This is what you need: graham crackers, shortbread cookies (the ones with chocolate on one side), Reeces peanut butter cups, Hersheys chocolate, white chocolate, sliced bananas, sliced strawberries, toasted coconut, and of course... marshmallows. The possibilities are endless! It makes for a fun evening when you put a fire in the fire pit and just sit around and visit.
- Had a great weekend with Michael. We bundled him up and took him outside and he LOVED it. He likes cool weather much more than warm weather. I was afraid it would be too cold for him but he really enjoyed it so we kept him outside for an hour and enjoyed our river walk (Provo river walk is right behind the facility he's in. It is the perfect walk).
- I love the four seasons. Going back and forth to Utah has let me experience them this year. I loved the brisk air this weekend and as I was driving to the airport last night, it started snowing. So fun! I have to admit, though, that I am becoming an Arizona girl. It was good to come home to temperatures in the 60's.
- Have any of you been in New York and Company lately? That store used to be Lerners, a store I loved when I was in college (the first time around). They have some cute, reasonably priced clothes this season. Check it out!
- Michael has a great friend, Sean. As many of his friends have (understandably) moved on with their lives, Sean continues to come 1-2 times a week. He always shares notes from church meetings he's attended, watches the BYU football games with him, works him out, and brings a group of friends on Sunday to play/sing music, share a spiritual thought, and bring him the sacrament. How do I thank someone like that?
- There is a man who is always on the same Sunday night flight that I am on...last flight of the evening. I asked him last night what his story is. He lives in Utah, works in Arizona. He travels back and forth every week. We shared stories of flying Southwest and their awful track record for leaving on time.
That's all.

First of all, I am so happy to hear that Michael is doing better. How great it must feel to get outside and feel the changing weather on your face!! And what a fabulous, wonderful, devoted friend he has to come and spend such valuable time with him!!! He is not doing it for any other reason than he cares. As a mother, I can well imagine your emotions for this person.
About the S'mores.....Ohhhh, I love them. And what a fun idea to have a S'mores bar around a fire pit this winter. I am going to do it! Thanks for the inspiration!!!
Have a great rest of the week!!
Brent was just asking tonight about Michael. We were glad to hear of your last visit with him. What a great blessing that he has such a wonderful friend.
I wish I could spend more time coming to see Meth--if I lived in Utah, I'm sure I'd come by every week, at least. I know that, even though Tre-Dub has been scattered, we all keep Meth in our prayers constantly. It's always good to hear about his progress.

I'm glad that Mike has such a great friend. What a blessing.
And that s'mores bar sounds SO good!
Do you think you could call yourself an official "snowbird" yet?
And Sean is an angel . . . I don't know how you thank someone like that.
I need to come visit so I can participate in one of your famous s'more parties. Sounds delish!
We are getting a firepit for Christmas and I am ecstatic to try out a smores bar! Thanks for the ideas and for sharing what is new in your life!
I love the idea about the s'mores. I'm going to try that this winter...also, good to hear that your son continues to make progress and that he has such a devoted friend and MOTHER!
Smore bar..... oh now I am hungry! Yum!!!!!
Sean was truly sent from God....what an amazing friend!
So glad to hear Mike is doing better. I have been into s'mores and fires too and love the idea of lots of different toppings. I'll try that if the rain ever lets up!! Great idea! There is nothing quite as comforting as sitting around the fire pit with friends.
Definitely gonna have to try the Smores Bar. Cute idea. People like Sean are tender mercies times a million!!!!!!! Tavin still prays for Mike EVERY day. We were praying for Uncle Bob too for a while so sometimes "Michael Benson" becomes "Uncle Benson". :)
