The 1950's Revisited

I took a look at my Bakers Rack the other night and decided to change it up. It's one of the few things in my house that I mix up regularly. I started looking through cupboards for inspiration and spotted my Fiesta Dishes. These belonged to my Grandma and we loved eating off of these when we were kids...loved all of the colors.

Anyway, with my Fiesta Dishes as inspiration, I started looking around my kitchen for other 50-ish looking things and found some old cook books, a piece of milk glass, an old apron made from a table cloth that belonged to my grandma, a milk bottle, and some old kitchen gadgets that belonged to my mother. Once I had everything pulled out, I started arranging it and this is what I came up with:

All that is old is new again!

I love it! Corelle has some REALLY cute bowls from the 40s and 50s you can find on Ebay. My grandmother gave me her mothers primary color stackable bowls from the early years of Corelle and I've loved decorating with them. Next on my list is their "new dots" bowls from the early 50s. Check it out! You may find something new things to add to your collection! :)

I love that. My Nana had Fiesta dishes too. I must find out where those went. Love your blast from the past, and it is fun and pleasing to the eye!!! Hot there yet?
