First Attempt

I stopped by a Goodwill Thrift Store last weekend and found this lovely piece:

The fabric was a little worn around the edges and I didn't like the fabric.  At All.  But it seemed like it was in good shape and so I picked it up.

My next stop was for new fabric.  I stopped by several places, not knowing for sure what I was looking for.  I ended up with a cool color of green woven fabric.  I had in my mind just making a cover to slip over the whole thing but as I began working, I came up with another idea.

Behold the finished product:

My plan is to put it in my closet.  I've got a large walk-in closet and I have been wanting a chair in there to sit on while I put on tights, boots, socks, etc.  It looks really cute in there but no one will see it.  What should I do????

Print pictures of it and hang them on your wall! It's THAT cute! That way it can be displayed in your home and serve as a chair in your closet. I love this redo!

So chic! I just put a chair in my room by my closet for the same purpose, but so not as cute as this!

Oh way to go Lauri! That is really cute.
Maybe keep your eye out for another one for the cloest and keep that one in view somewhere.

That is WAY too cute to hide in the closet!!!! But I know what you mean, because I have a bench I use in my dressing area to sit while putting on makeup and pulling on boots, etc. But find something else...I beg you. That beauty must be seen!!!

It turned out great! Even cuter than I pictured. It's a tough call. Nice work.

If your closet is going to be that cute, maybe you ought to start hosting parties in there!

WOW! That is a great re-do! It belongs in the living room! Or give tours of your closet.

Oh wow, this turned out even better than I imagined! Maybe someday I will be as talented as you... And I don't think the closet is a bad place for it. You could decorate your whole closet and then take tours through it. Haha
