I saw this on my friend, Sheryl's blog:

So I went right out to Goodwill and found me some cheap picture frames (all of these were between $.50 and $1.50).

I painted them all an antique white then white washed them with white paint and sanded them lightly. I had the shelf; it had been sitting in my closet for 6 years and had never been painted or hung. Here is the finished product:

It has been a while since I have done something new for my home and I enjoyed having a small project to work on.

I LOVE IT! May I too?
What a cute idea. Isn't fun to find stuff at yard sales and thrift stores to recycle into a fun decorating project? From the pictures you have posted, it looks like you have done a wonderful job decorating your home.
That makes me never want to pay full price for a frame again. A little paint looks any frame look new.
Darling! I love it! What a cute idea- and I love sweet finds from the thrift store! What did you use for the letters? Did you paint them yourself?
sure, Kris. I'm all about copying ideas. And Kelly, I used my computer and printed them on card stock.
I love... LOVE frames. I have 19 framed photos and kindergarten artwork and pieces of sheet music and magazine covers all over my office wall. I'm with Katie, I'll never pay full price for a frame again.
Hey, Megan has that frame set at her house too.
I love this frame painting idea! Dang, I want to head down to DI now.
You are so creative! I love it!
Lauri,
I am going to do it, but with the word L O V E!!!
How darling! I passed the idea on to my daughters who are always looking for cute little projects. I would love to do it myself but honestly if I put one more thing on a wall in this house my husband is going to leave me!
