Take a peek...

My friend, Kris, had a fun post on her blog today where she gave us a peek inside her fridge. My mouth watered as I looked at all of her deliciousness. When I got home from work, this is what I found:

Do you think it's time to make a grocery store run?

Being single really changes things. I never had a fridge that looked like this when I had a family at home. And even in the first few years of living alone, I tried to maintain the lifestyle I lived before. But now it has come to vegetable juice ,eggs, and sour cream. Before you start feeling too sorry for me, my cupboards and freezer are full. I have been away for the weekend so used up all that was in my fridge before I left with the plan to go shopping today. And I did.

Does this make you feel any better?

This week I'm eating barbecue chicken, cube steak, pizza, and panini's. I don't think I'm going to waste away anytime soon!

On a side note...for those of you who asked. The lemons I have been squeezing for Jeff and Olivia's wedding is just for fresh lemonaid. They are getting married in May and having an outside afternoon reception. The perfect refreshment!

Well I'm glad you got have a few things to eat in there now! :)
Thanks for the peek. I actually wish my fridge looked like that. So simple. Less to eat. Less to gain. I like it.

I took pics inside mine tonight too. Coming soon...

Sweet simplicity. On the verge of just one kiddo at home...it is amazing how that lessens the need for a very full fridge instead of just a full one! I am still having a problem with cooking for a few. Just a year ago there were 6 of us at home. Crazy this empty nest process.

Oh mercy me...I almost cried when I saw that first picture!!! But I can rest now that you have restocked it! I love the idea of doing the lemonade for your son's wedding reception!
Your meals sound good for this week too!!

I thought you were going to tell us about your new diet. The ingredients seemed fairly limited. What a relief to know that you really do eat.

I remember when our youngest left the nest that going to the grocery store created sorrowful emotions. As I passed various items that would have previously been placed in the shopping cart I wanted to cry. Years later...I adjusted.

Thanks for the compliment about my music. We use it as background music often.

Your "before" fridge made me sad! If I ever get around to cooking again you know you will be in on that! We have been surviving on freezer food around here!
