Pinterest

Everyone is talking about Pinterest. Not just talking about it, but raving about it. Some are even saying it is taking over blogging for them; it fills all of their needs. SO...I jumped on the band wagon and signed up.

As awesome as it looks, unfortunately, I don't get it. I mean I WANT to get it but I don't know what I'm supposed to do. And for those who have already signed up to follow up...I have no idea where I'm going so don't follow too closely. Who can help me?????? Debbie? Allison? Roni? Katie? Anyone? Anyone??? Maybe I should just stay away from another time waster!

On a related note...does anyone read magazines anymore? I got a bill in the mail yesterday to renew my subscription to Good Houskeeping, a magazine I've been reading for nearly 30 years and thought, "why would I pay $24.00 for a magazine subscription when I can get all of the recipes, fashion news, and decorating ideas for free?" However, without magazines, what will we do while we're waiting in line to pay for our groceries?

I still love a good magazine. Just getting to really look at the pics anywhere you want. I hope they don't go away.

Oh Lauri...I SO don't get Pinterest! I try. I really do, but I do NOT get it. It overwhelms me! I can't imagine it taking the place of blogging! Not for me anyway.
I still spend a small fortune in magazines. Some of my favorites are British publications, and naturally those are quite a bit more costly. I even find that after leaving them pile up in a heap somewhere, I can look through them time and again, almost forgetting entirely that I ever read it in the first place. Is that age???
Any luck in the job hunt?? I miss your posts...and Katie's too. Her roaring 20's birthday was terrific!!

I am glad I am not the only one! I signed up and have followers, but have zero idea of what to do!

Thanks for making me not feel so "out of it." I checked out Pinterest too, and like you, I just didn't see the point. Maybe it's my age...the younger women in my ward rave about it, but me, not so much.

No Pinterest for me! Too many other neglected interests to start a new one. And that is highway robbery for Good Housekeeping! I get lots of magazines for cheap or free. Let me know if you want the secrets! Or you can just have mine when I'm done! That is the best type of recycling!

Ha! I read all these comments hoping that someone would tell you the secrets of how to work pinterest and then I could read it and learn too! I joined. I have followers. I have no idea what I'm doing!! MJ loves it. We're looking for houses now and have been putting away a little money so we can furnish and decorate our home when we get it, so I thought pinterest wold be a good place to save inspirational pictures so that I could find out what my "style" really is. But so far I haven't really figured it out.

Also - I subscribe to a couple magazines (Is it too embarrassing to admit that one of them is "reader's digest' hahaha!!) and haven't dropped the subscriptions because you can't surf the internet while soaking in a hot bubble bath.

Also - You do have cute hair.

it was great to see Katie and the boys for a quick catch-up this summer.
