Check out my latest project:
This old trunk has been around for a while...a LONG while.
Cooking news:
I tried another new recipe this week that was quite good. Using a pita bread as my crust, I brushed it with olive oil and put it in the oven to crisp it a little bit. Next, I topped it with a boat-load of tomatoes I roasted. It was topped off with some fresh basil and mozzarella cheese. Caprese Pizza. Delish!
(roasted tomatoes)
And finally....this morning after my run, I jumped into the pool for a few minutes. After I finished my laps, I was doing a back stroke and this was my view:
Palm trees are interesting trees, aren't they? But today it really caught my eye against the blue, blue early morning sky. I've had a completely different perspective getting up at 5 a.m. to run. It's actually cool and pleasant outside. It makes me like Arizona in the summer. Don't ask me what I think about it at 4:00 in the afternoon when it is 108 degrees though!

Very interesting post. I love the perspective of looking up at the palm trees. Don't you love palm trees. I do. Charly and I get up at 4 a.m. to walk in the summer but this summer (since the surgery) he is on his own for a few weeks. We really enjoy early summer mornings -- calm and cool. That little pizza you made sounds very good...I'll give that a try and I love what you did with the trunk. You work wonders at giving a new look to old things. Have a fun summer!
Great redo on the trunk! And way to go with the running! I love to swim. I wish our pool were warmer though. Pretty looking up into the blue sky with the palm trees overhead!!!! That pizza sounded wonderful!!!
Yum!!!
