You scream, I scream, we all scream...

...for ice cream!!!

I'm always amazed at how many people I run in to that I knew in California and who now live in Arizona.

David Foate was a high school friend of Katie's and he spent a lot of time at our house.  He now has a beautiful wife and four darling children and they came by to visit this evening.  We thought about going swimming but it was too hot (imagine that...too hot to swim!) and the wind kicked up in the late afternoon and dumped a bunch of stuff in my pool.    Instead, we just spent time visiting and made ice cream sundaes.

The only one who didn't get in any of the pictures was David's wife, Wendy.  I think she was trying to keep her kiddos from destroying my house.  She didn't realize that I'm a grandma and my house is indestructible.

Jeff and Olivia also stopped by to say hello.  I love having them close by.  Jeff and Dave were also good friends back in the day so they enjoyed catching up too.
