I love putting great meals together but rarely have the opportunity to do so anymore. I told Jeff to see if anyone from his ward wanted to come for dinner on Sunday. We ended up having three extras at our Easter dinner. Unfortunately, it wasn't one of my best meals but thankfully, they're college students who are used to living on mac and cheese and ramen so they think anything I make is delicious. I pretend to believe them. The centerpiece, actually, was the best part of the meal. If you look closely, you can see that those are green onions in the vase...that's right, green onions. Then I went outside picked a few swigs of lavendar to add and voila! Very inexpensive.
Katie has reminded me that most of the posts on my blog are HER friends. I don't care at all, I love my kid's friends and since most of my friends don't have blogs, I'm counting on all of you to "talk" to me.

Do you have square chargers? Love them! I especially like your eggs...what did you use to dye them? You obviously didn't use Reid to dye them. Man that kid is a disaster...especially when we're indulging his creative side.
You are so ultra creative. I was hoping for Easter lilies. I actually HAD green onions. Who would have thought you could make them so pretty? Your table always looks prett, though.
What a beautiful centerpiece! I would've never thought of green onions, but I do have some in my fridge- no lavender though, will have to improvise- you are too fun!
Green onions? What a great idea! And I bet that your meal tasted fabulous!
Love it!! You are Martha and I can only wish that I was too. I am so excited about your blog. You have a great take on life and I look forward to enjoying it.
I think it is great that you have a blog. Thanks for the comment on my blog. Both Zac and I think the world of you. I never got to spend a lot of time with you, but the little bit I did spend, I loved you!!! Glad that we can now stay in touch. Love the center piece. I'm not very creative so that helps me out a lot. Thanks!
To me you ARE Martha Stewart - without an orange jumpsuit and a serial number. The ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS!!! perfect person.
Just so you know, I was going to comment on this before the last bit. What a fun centerpiece idea. I love it. Lucky college kids. Who wouldn't love a homemade meal?
Ben is kind of a martha stewart too. That is neat...
Remember that time I called you while I was at a Jack Johnson concert... that was cool huh? I am probably your favorite niece because of that.
Good to see you have a blog! YIPPEE
