Why Not?

It turns out you CAN teach an old dog a new trick. My daughter has been trying to convince me to start a blog. I'm not sure why... my life is very uninteresting but now seems like a good time to begin. As a disclaimer to my three children: a comment on my blog does not replace an occasional phone call home!

I just got back from a visit with Katie, Spencer and the kiddos. There's always a lot of excitement at the Smith home. In addition to an fun St. Patrick's Day celebration, we spent a morning at the "awesomest park ever," had an outing to the zoo, bought new swimming suits for the boys, colored, did puzzles, played with trains, sang songs,--and for the grown ups, there was going out to dinner, late night banana splits (thanks to Spencer) and a pedicure for the girls. It's always a let down to come home to my mundane life.

It's hard to believe that at 8:3o this morning I was in Dallas Texas and by 2:00 in the afternoon, I was hiking in the Arizona desert with my brother. My pioneer ancestors would be amazed!

Wahoo. I'm so glad you're doing this-I had a feeling you would sometime or another. I think it SUCH a great way to keep in touch, and I'm most definitely passing your link along to my mother. I started a family blog and my family hasn't yet seen the light. I can't wait to show them yours as another example. My mother claims she doesn't have anything to write about. I disagree. I'm so glad you were able to see Katie, how fun for them and you! Happy blogging!
