I realize that the rest of you are celebrating Father's Day today but for me, it's Mother's Day. Today is a celebration of the day I became a mother for the first time.
Michael was born June 21, 1980.

So last night at like 11:30 I was mostly asleep on the couch and heard on the news about the longest day of the year. I know that Mike's Birthday falls on Summer Solstice so I pop off the couch and immediately call him thinking I almost missed his birthday. He just accepted my Happy Birthday without even mentioning that it was the following day. But as the news progressed I realized they were actually talking about the following day. Whoops! Luckily I caught that while I was still on the phone and we had a good laugh about it.
Wow, Michael is such a nice looking man, and from talking to you, a very smart one at that. Happy Birthday to Michael, and Mother's Day to you missy.

I know just how you feel about it being mother's day. My oldest son's birthday is on June 16th, which occasionally falls on Father's day. It was that day that I first became a mom, too! :)
