ROAD TRIP

After school was out, I was certain that I needed to get out of the heat for a few days and do something fun. I decided that a trip to California was just what the doctor ordered. I have a very gracious aunt and uncle who have an open door policy so that is where I headed.

The day before I left, I was talking to my sister-in-law DEBBIE (be glad I didn't post the picture I took of you on the trip!)
and telling her about my plans. Not wanting to be left out of anything fun, she joined in and off we went. We had a fun few days of cool overcast weather, shopping (made a trip to TaiPan...LOVE that place... and stopped at Brightons at the Cabazon outlet malls...ooh la la!), way too much eating (5#bag of M&M's and lots of chocolate chip cookies), talking (I don't think I ever stopped), and tons of laughing. We even shared a bed for a few nights ARRRRG!

I made a brief stop in Corona to visit with Cindy.
(sorry to all of my Corona friends who I REALLY intended to stop by and say hello to but just ran out of time)

We got back in the car and drove home last night.

I feel so rejuvenated. It's been a long time since I have had so much fun. I really needed that!

Much better!

So fun! I would love a road trip to California, unfortunatly my road trip is not 5 hours but more like 22 hours. Glad you had a good time and a very deserved break.

Isn't it just amazing how a quick get-a-way (especially to California) can change your perspective and make you feel like you can go on and climb another mountain. Sounds like so much fun! Have a great summer.

I'm glad you were able to get away. I would have loved to see you but you would have had to spend a couple of months here in order to see all of the people who love you. It has been especially cool and overcast for this time of year. I'm sure it was a nice change for you.

It sounds like you guys had a great time. I haven't seen Aunt Vicki, and Uncle Con in such a long time, they look great.

Sounds like so much fun. See, this not working thing has it's advantages. We are headed there on Friday for a week at Newport Coast. Can't wait! We plan to see Kris and Craig Friday night. We are seriously thinking of coming to AZ in July (I know, it's stupid), I will for sure call you.
