I didn't mention the traumatic thing that happened to me a few weeks ago.
I had taken a trip to Costco and loaded up the back of my car. Apparently, I didn't close the back completely so when I pulled into my driveway, the hatch back flew open, but I hadn't realized it. When I pulled into the garage,, the opened hatch caught on the garage door and shattered the glass. I didn't know what happened but I thought my garage door had fallen on my car. There was a huge crash and the sound of shattering glass. My heart sunk...after all, I'd only had my car for six weeks.
I jumped out of the car to access the damage and was just sick. After cleaning up all of the glass, I got a good look at the car and realized that it was only the glass that had broken and that my car was in good shape. When I called the insurance company the next morning, I told her that I had glass coverage and asked if it only covered the windshield or did it cover any damaged glass. She asked what had happened and when I explained it to her, she said that it would be considered a collision and I would have to pay my $500.00 deductible. Grrr! I got an auto glass guy on the phone to get it fixed and together we called the insurance company again. This time I spoke with someone else. When I explained what had happened, she said, "lucky for you...you have glass coverage. This will be completely paid for." Much better news!
Unfortunately, the glass had to be ordered and wouldn't be in for 5 days so this is how I drove around town from Thursday until Tuesday: (actually,it looked much worse than the picture indicates).
You can't believe how loud it was in my car, not to mention the fact that I couldn't see through the tape.
I was so glad to get that glass installed!!!

I am so sorry that happened to your NEW car! Several times I have almost pulled out of the garage with the hatch open (after I had loaded something and then forgot to close it.) I'm glad you will have it fixed soon.
Ouch!!!!
That is an awesome look for your car. Did you leave your windows down and blast some ghetto music? I would have.
It's always disheartening to get a boo-boo on a brand-new car. It always takes some time to get used to a new car with all its quirks too. It's great news that your will get the window replaced for free. It is a nice looking vehicle, even with a taped up back window.
WOWZA!!- Gotta love good insurance!!
There are some lessons I learned at Momma's knee that need to be rethought....Don't take no for an answer!
Glad the cost is covered.
