Greene Team

This is my nephew, Wesley Greene.

Last Saturday, he was skiing with some friends from church and went over a jump and had a nasty fall.  He broke his neck.  His dad was behind him and quickly skied to his son.  Wesley told his dad that he needed a blessing...he couldn't move his arms or legs.  I don't want to get any details wrong but you can read about it on a blog that was started for him.  (www.wjgb.blogspot.com).  The family has seen many miracles this week but realize he has a long road ahead of him.

Wes lives in a small town in Montana and  attends Three Forks High School.  Last Friday was proclaimed, "Wesley Greene Day" and everyone at all of the schools was asked to wear green in honor of Wesley.  This picture was taken at an assembly at the school.  Look at all of that green!

A call went out on facebook to show support for Wesley by wearing green wherever you are and to post the pictures.  Mike and I showed our support in Provo.

Look at this cute family...these are Wesley's nieces and nephews

I wanted to find the picture of Karen (Wesley's mother) wearing her green but can't find it. (Karen is my sister in law...Kevin's sister...just so you know my connection to this family).  My heart goes out to her.  Having recently gone through something of this magnitude, I understand part of what she is going through.  I understand the uncertainty as you look  toward the future and the possibilities of unrealized dreams.  My prayers have been as much for her and Gary as they have been for Wes.

Please keep this family in your prayers and THINK GREEN!!!!
...and while you're at it, please continue to pray for Michael.

Oh my- my heart and prayers go out to him and your sweet family. What a wonderful thing to do - green is my favorite color and I love the support they are receiving. Prayers work wonders - this I know!

Oh Lauri, I don't know what to say. What a heart wrenching story that was to read. He is certainly in my prayers. He sounds like an outstanding young man of great faith. He is in my prayers.

I'm so sorry to hear about this accident. It is so strange that there have been similar accidents in the same family. Our thoughts and prayers continue for Micahel too!
