The "pixie." A popular look in the 1950's
My version of Farrah Fawcett wings
When Dorothy Hamill won the 1976 olympics for ice skating, her haircut went high fashion. Here is my Dorothy Hamil look front and back.
Then we got in to the 1980's and 90's and BIG permed hair. And along with big hair were BIG shoulder pads. What were we thinking?!
I don't even know what to say about this hairstyle except UGH!
This was a favorite style I wore in the 90's
This hairstyle stayed with me WAY too long. Speaking of long, look how long it makes my face look.
Here is the, "how blonde can I get my hair?" years
I refer to this 'do as "The Mop"
And here we are now!

Hi Laurie,
So happy to find you! Genny and Katie have been visiting through their blogs, and Genny told me you have one too. You look terrific!
Love the "hairdo's."
I am anxious to catch up with you.
For now....a big hello, and a hug from across the miles.
More later.

I LOVED this post. Next look I want you to revisit is the pixie one. You could totally pull it off...all you have to do is curl the ends and cut your bangs really short.
I never realized you used to wear your hair so dark brown (in the hospital dorothy hamil picture).
And you look a ton like jeff in the picture of that ugly teal coat on the cement steps.
Very fun.
You've come a long way, baby!! Ha ha! I love all those styles, and seriously, I know you looked amazing through each one- that was the style, and you worked it!! Love that post! You are gorgeous no matter what hair you choose!
I saw Jeff in one of your pictures too. I always thought he looked like Kevin.
That picture of you in the red and black outfit? I don't remember you ever wearing your hair that big. You had skills!
Oh I so enjoyed this post. First-I admire you for TRYING so many hairstyles!!! I have a never ending problem of wanting to try something new but not sure how to do it-though I'm always open for suggestions should an idea cross your mind for very thick curly hair.
Without glancing back I think it was the 80s do that you pulled off so well. Its unreal to me that one head of hair can pull off so many styles. I don't think I could have done the majority of those. I TOTAlly thought the same thing about the teal coat picture when I saw it-that looks like Jeff (not that I know REALLY well what he looks like-but from the few pictures I've seen). How fun!!!
Since I havent seen you forever...I still picture you with the 90's hairstyle, thats how I remember you! Your current haircut is great!

I just recenlty saw Katie's blog. I'm glad you found me. I love the blog world becasue it makes me so happy to see people that I love and miss. It is such a great way to stay in touch. POsting pics of all the hair dos is so funny. For me it hasn't changed much since eighth grade. Pretty SAD!
Who is the Hottie?? You are so brave!! I have a few permed do's where I look like someone put a mushroom on my head!! Too funny. I can't tell you how much good it does my heart to have my good Lauri laughs even so far away!!
I'm so glad you commented about the photo gallery-I was going to ask you if you had gone. WOW. Amazing! My sister has too and also loved it-of course. So glad the locals all go to it!!
How cool- loved looking at all the styles! And, even though some caused a smile, you look great in them all anyway! :)
I'm lurking. :) Well..if I'm commenting, I'm not. Right. I had the Dorothy Hamill hair cut for years. I loved it. Mostly because all I had to do was shake it into place. I'm terribly lazy. I'm always looking for the perfect hair. It's a challenge of life.
