After my complaining at the beginning of the week about how hot it was here, the temperatures dropped by 50 degrees and it has been a cool 60 degrees for the past 3 days. It has been heavenly sleeping with the window open and even pulling a blanket around me. Not only that, we've had about 1 1/2 inches of rain. What a treat for this time of the year (although those who graduated Thursday night IN THE RAIN may not think so).
To celebrate and enjoy this cool weather, I did something I haven't done for probably 15 years. I washed my car. Not that my car hasn't been cleaned in 15 years, but I did it myself. I don't know what got in to me but it seemed like a good thing to do this afternoon and I quite enjoyed it. I don't think I'll spend 2 hours of every Saturday doing it but it was nice today.
Anyway, all good things must end and summer is actually coming next week. We'll be up to normal temperatures (around 100 degrees) by the end of the week and I'm sure the cool days are over. Time to break out the swimsuit and pool mattress.
Another bit of good news...yesterday, ANOTHER temple was announced for Arizona. This one will be in Phoenix and will bring Arizona's temple total up to five. Great news!

I hadn't yet heard of the next temple!! That is so fantastic, and seriously, one more reason we should come there!! Glad for the weather reprieve you have had- we are finally getting some warmth here- finally! Life is good!!
I love that picture...you enjoying being outside washing your car...quite a visual.
Wow! I can't believe they announced another temple for Arizona already!
